Buyer questions

  1. A common question

How firm is the foam, and should I go with 3 or 4 inches?

    The workshop's answer

Every cushion uses about 2 lb/ft³ (32 kg/m³) high-resilience foam that is medium-firm. It is supportive and made to keep its shape without sagging or flattening, while staying comfortable. The 3 in (7.6 cm) option is the best seller.

  2. A common question

What's the standard cushion thickness, and can I go thicker or thinner?

    The workshop's answer

The standard is 4 in (10 cm). The shop has also quoted 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 in, and thicker cushions cost more. Most buyers choose 4 in and find it comfortable.

  3. A common question

How long does a custom cushion take to make and deliver?

    The workshop's answer

Simple bench cushions are the quickest to make; more custom pieces, such as custom velvet or a patterned fabric, take longer, and delivery comes on top. Ask the workshop for current times in writing before you count back from a date; for the reading-nook pair above, production was quoted at five to ten business days.
