Buyer questions

  1. A common question

What size cover do I need for an IKEA Hemnes daybed with two mattresses stacked?

    The workshop's answer

It depends on where the daybed was bought, because Hemnes sizes vary by country, so the workshop checks before cutting. It assumed 39 x 74¾ in (99 x 190 cm) for a US version, but one buyer's mattresses measured 31½ x 78¾ in (80 x 200 cm). Two stacked mattresses stand about 7⅞ to 9½ in (20 to 24 cm) tall, and one cover can wrap both. The cover is cut slightly larger so the mattresses slide in easily.

  2. A common question

What comes in the daybed cushion set for an IKEA Hemnes?

    The workshop's answer

One mattress cover made to your mattress size, two filled backrests and two filled armrests. The covers can be any color, the piping can be a different color, and a large set may arrive in more than one package.

  3. A common question

Can I make a striped daybed set, with a thin stripe on the back pillows and a wide stripe on the mattress cover?

    The workshop's answer

Yes. The striped options are in the 6th, 7th and 8th images of the linen bench cushion listing; they're similar to other brands' tones but not identical. Pick your codes and note which goes on the back pillows and which on the mattress cover.
