Buyer questions

  1. A common question

Is your outdoor fabric a solution-dyed acrylic, like the big-name brands?

    The workshop's answer

No. The workshop's outdoor fabrics are polyester-based with a water-repellent, UV-resistant finish, so they resist fading and clean easily. Colors include off-white, ivory, oatmeal and a warm light gray. UV rating and weight vary by fabric and are shared once you choose one, and outdoor fabrics cost a little more than indoor ones.

  2. A common question

Can you make square outdoor pillows to match my outdoor bench cushion?

    The workshop's answer

Yes. Squares in outdoor fabric can be ordered through the outdoor floor cushion listing, or the workshop sets up a custom listing. For anything used outside it insists on outdoor-specific fabric, and patterned outdoor fabrics with contrast piping were confirmed fine for outdoor use.

  3. A common question

Is there a striped fabric I can use for outdoor cushions?

    The workshop's answer

Not in the N-series stripes: those are 100% cotton and indoor-only, and that range has no two-color outdoor combinations. For a striped look outdoors, the outdoor charts include striped fabrics such as V-38, which is water-repellent and UV-resistant.
