Buyer questions

  1. A common question

    Can you make a replacement cover for an ottoman cushion that's 25.5 x 25.5 x 12 in (65 x 65 x 31 cm)?

    The workshop's answer

Yes, as a custom order, because covers that tall aren't standard. Covers up to 6 in (15 cm) high fall within the standard sizes and cost less for the same footprint.

  2. A common question

I'm using an IKEA Kallax as a bench, including the small 4-cube one. What cushion sizes fit?

    The workshop's answer

For the long Kallax the shop cut cushions at about 15 3/8 x 57 5/8 in (39 x 146.5 cm), and about 15 3/8 x 30 1/8 in (39 x 76.5 cm) for the 4-cube unit. Order through the IKEA Kallax option on the window seat cushion listing.

  3. A common question

I'm stacking two 4.75 in twin mattresses on a Hemnes daybed. Is an 8 in cover right, or should it be thicker?

    The workshop's answer

Thicker. Two 4.75 in (12 cm) mattresses come to roughly 9.5 in (24 cm) together, so a cover made for about 9.5-10 in (24-25 cm) looks properly filled. An 8 in (20 cm) cover would have to stretch over them.
