A Reading by NateL-Shaped Corner Bench Cushions
Denim blue velvet corner bench cushions: seating more people between two windows
Two windows, one corner, a table's worth of guests. The trick in this photo is that the L is really two cushions, and that is what makes it good for company.
The quick answer
For an L-shaped bench cushion that seats a crowd, order two separate seats, one short and one long, that butt together in the corner instead of one L piece; each lifts and re-covers on its own. Choose firm high-density foam so guests sit up at the table, and keep back cushions slim where radiators sit below.

SaveWhy a corner seats more people
White shaker storage benches wrap the corner between two windows. On them, denim blue velvet seats and backs, every edge piped in ivory. The walls are a blue-gray, so the velvet ties them to the white boxes below.
An L-shaped bench cushion is the easiest extra chair in the house. No legs to trip on, no chairs to drag in from the garage. Guests slide along until everyone fits.
The props keep the geometry friendly. A woven rattan pendant softens the crisp joinery. A striped cotton rug repeats the ivory piping at floor level. Paperbacks on the sill and a plant in a clay pot say people actually sit here. White panel radiators under the windows set one rule, and the back cushions obey it: slim enough for warm air to rise past.
Five places the plan shows
Where the corner was solved, and where the room helps.

- Left back cushion
Back pads stay thin enough under the sill that radiator heat can still rise past them.
- Right back cushion
The two back pads meet in the corner with piping on every edge, so the join reads as deliberate.
- Two-piece seat
One short and one long seat butt together instead of a single L piece, which is easier to lift and re-cover.
- Rattan pendant
A woven shade softens the crisp white joinery.
- Striped rug
Neutral stripes pick up the ivory piping at floor level.

Two seats, not one L
Look where the seats meet. One short, one long, butted together instead of a single mitered L. Two straight pieces lift off two storage lids, and a spill on one cover means one cover in the wash.
The backs meet in the corner too, piping on every edge, so the join reads as a line someone drew on purpose. The corner joint Pattern covers which piece owns the corner.
The photographs around this one show the same split: teal velvet under a gallery wall, orchid pink with black piping, a buttercup stripe beside a pedestal table. For firm dinner seating, try your sizes in the bench cushion builder. How many people do you want around that table on a holiday?
