The Cutting Table · a common question
Is this fabric bright white, or a warm off-white and cream?
Also asked as:Is L-02 too dark for off-white?Is the background neutral natural or white?
White is one of the color questions we hear most, my friends, because a screen flattens every warm undertone. Here is where each white on the charts truly sits.
The quick answer
For a warm off-white, choose linen L-02, the best-selling fabric: a natural cream with no gray undertone. Linen L-01 is the whiter option. In the soft fabric range, 909 is pure white and 910 is cream; on the outdoor chart, S-09 leans stark white while M-7 and M-19 sit on a soft cream background.

Where each white sits, coolest to warmest
On a phone the whites look alike; by a window they part ways at once.
On the linen chart, L-01 is the whiter one. L-02, the best seller, is a warm cream, a natural light beige with no gray undertone. Walk on to L-03 and L-04 and you are in true beige. Browse them in the linen and cotton-linen swatches.
Outdoors, the solid S-09 leans toward stark white, while S-29 and S-30 drift into beige. M-7 and M-19 sit on a soft cream background rather than bright white.

Matching a cushion you already own
When a buyer needed a new outdoor cushion to sit beside an old one, S-09 came closest. Even so, one fabric batch can differ from the last by a whisker of shade; that is the nature of a dye lot. Order swatches before you commit and lay them on the cushion you are matching.
Daylight never lies; your screen sometimes does. Here is why screen color and daylight disagree.
Linen L-02 is the warm off-white on the chart, a natural cream with no gray undertone; for whiter, step to L-01.

Questions buyers ask next
Why does a cream cushion look gray in some photos?
Light changes it: warm light makes fabric creamier and daylight grayer, so a listing photo and a color chart can both be right. On bench ranges, trust the chart.
Can an off-white be matched to a paint color or another brand's fabric?
No exact match to a paint color, a CMYK value or another brand's fabric can be guaranteed. You get the closest codes and close-ups, and samples to compare at home are strongly recommended.
Can the workshop suggest an ivory piping for my room?
Yes. Send photos of the room or wallpaper and you get body and piping codes back; one blue-gray wallpaper was paired with soft 903 and 910 warm ivory piping.
