Why the photo bench is only a prop

A listing needs something to set a cushion on. So there is a bench in the photos, about 12 to 16 in (30-40 cm) from the floor. It stays behind. What travels is the cushion, made to your size and thickness.

  1. Settle the base first

    The cushion follows the bench. Build or buy the bench, window seat or platform before you order.

  2. Measure the seat top

    Length and depth of the surface the cushion will sit on, measured on the finished piece.

  3. Choose a thickness for the height you want

    Bench height plus cushion thickness is where you will sit. The seat height calculator does the sum.

  4. Order to those numbers
