The Cutting Table · compared on the table

The listing says sold out. Can I still order my cushion?

Also asked as:Why is this item showing sold out?It says the quantity is no longer available.

Usually, yes. Sold out is a number on a page. Your cushion hasn't been cut yet anyway.

The quick answer

Yes, you can usually still order when a listing says sold out or quantity no longer available: the marketplace stock count ran low after many sales, but the cushion can still be made. Message the shop and it restocks the listing, usually the same day. If checkout still fails, it sends you a private custom listing link.

Why a made-to-order cushion can sell out

A listing keeps a count. Every sale lowers it. When it reaches zero, the page says sold out.

The workshop does not keep a shelf of finished cushions waiting for that number. Each one is cut after you order, so the count is paperwork, not foam. A bench cushion in your length is as possible today as it was last week.

Which size were you trying to choose? Put it in the first message.

Three messages, in order

  1. Say what you want

Size, color and any option. The quote checklist lists the rest.

  2. Wait for the restock

Usually the same day. The shop also confirms you picked the right size options, which matters when your size sits between two ranges.

  3. If checkout still fails

The shop makes a private custom listing and sends you the direct link. A size that isn't on the menu goes the same way; see custom sizes.

If a made-to-order cushion shows sold out, message the shop: the stock count is refreshed, usually the same day, and a private listing covers the rest.

Buyer questions

  1. A common question

This cushion shows sold out. Is it gone for good?

    The workshop's answer

No. Sold out only means the stock count ran low after a lot of sales; the shop refreshes it quickly so you can order.

  2. A common question

Checkout says the quantity is no longer available. What now?

    The workshop's answer

Message the shop; it refreshes and raises the stock on the listing so you can finish. If it still fails, it creates a private custom listing and sends you a direct link.

  3. A common question

The listing won't let me order my sizes. What's wrong?

    The workshop's answer

Some size options were temporarily out of stock. The shop updated the stock and confirmed the right size options had been picked.

  4. A common question

The color I want is out of stock. Will it come back?

    The workshop's answer

Yes. The shop restocks the listing when asked, usually the same day.

Questions buyers ask next

Does a sold-out label mean the fabric has run out?

Not on its own. A sold-out label means the listing's stock count ran low, not that the cushion can't be made. Ask the shop about your color and size, and it restocks the listing, usually the same day.

Should I wait for the listing to restock by itself?

There's no need to wait. Restocking happens when you ask, so send a message with the size, color or option you want; the listing is usually refreshed the same day and you can check out as normal.

What is a private custom listing?

A listing the shop makes just for your order when normal checkout still fails after a restock. It carries the size and options you agreed on, and the shop sends you a direct link so only you can buy it.
