The Cutting Table · a checklist answer
Do you have 100% cotton or linen fabrics, and do they cost more?
Also asked as:Do you have 100% natural fiber fabric options?Cost difference for natural linen, viscose or cotton?
Real linen has a dry hand and a light that rests on its surface instead of sinking in. If that is what you want, here is the whole natural-fiber shelf.
SaveThe quick answer
Yes, 100% linen cushion covers are made from a dedicated 100% linen chart, alongside 100% cotton fabrics, heavy pure linen and linen-cotton blends, viscose and terry-like fabrics; hemp isn't offered. On sofas, natural linen, viscose or cotton costs a little more than the standard fabric, and the difference is paid through a separate fabric-difference link; the quote shows it. Always check the fiber content of the exact code you choose.

The natural-fiber shelf, fabric by fabric
- 100% linen, from its own color chart
- 100% cotton, including every striped fabric
- Heavy pure linen and linen-cotton blends, offered for daybed cushions
- A cotton-based linen, and plain white cotton
- Viscose, and fabrics close to terry cloth
What isn't on the shelf
- Hemp: not offered in any chart
- A promise that every 'linen' name means pure linen: one gray linen topper held polyester
- Natural fibers at the base price on a sofa: expect a fabric difference on top
How the difference is paid, and what moves it
On a sofa, you order the normal listing and pay the fabric difference for natural linen, viscose or cotton through a separate link; the quote shows the amount. One cotton quote on a sofa came in a little above the usual difference. On a floor-cushion set of four 28 x 28 in (70 x 70 cm) seats and a backrest, 100% cotton came out higher than linen, so don't assume the two cost the same.
The real linen versus linen-look Pattern shows what the extra buys you: the slub, the dry hand, the way flax takes the late light.
Read the fiber content, not the name
A gray topper sold as linen turned out to contain polyester. So ask for the fiber content of the exact fabric code before you order, and let that one number settle the question. For a family bench cushion, the workshop's honest note is that its soft microfiber is still the easiest to live with.
Browse linen and cotton-linen and striped cotton and ticking, my friends. Which matters more to you, the hand of the fiber or the ease of the wash?
100% linen and 100% cotton cushion fabrics cost a little more on a sofa, and if the stripe you love is from the striped range, it's already 100% cotton.

Buyer questions
- A common question
Are any of your fabrics 100% natural fiber?
The workshop's answerYes, the striped fabrics are 100% cotton.
- A common question
Can my sofa be made in natural linen or cotton instead of polyester?
The workshop's answerYes. Natural linen, viscose or cotton costs a little more than the standard fabric; one modular sofa in a natural light-coffee linen was paid as the normal sofa listing plus a private fabric-difference link. There are 100% linen and 100% cotton charts, and on a set of four 28 x 28 in (70 x 70 cm) floor seats with a backrest, cotton cost more than linen.
- A common question
Do you carry pure linen, cotton, or even terry cloth?
The workshop's answerYes: a 100% linen chart, 100% cotton fabrics, heavy pure linen and linen-cotton blends for daybed cushions, and fabrics similar to terry cloth. Charts or photos are sent on request. Check the fiber content of the specific code you pick.
- A common question
I want natural fibers, cotton, linen or hemp, instead of velvet. What do you suggest?
The workshop's answerThe workshop offers its cotton-based linen and can use white cotton. Hemp isn't offered, and for families it suggests the soft microfiber fabric as the most practical choice.
Questions buyers ask next
Is the furniture corduroy a natural fiber?
No. The furniture corduroy is described as 100% polyester or a poly-cotton blend, never pure cotton, and it contains no hemp. Its covers are removable and machine washable.
Which natural fabrics are offered for a daybed cushion?
Heavy pure linen and linen-cotton blends are the ones offered for daybed cushions, the heavier weights in the natural range. Charts or photos of each are sent on request, so you can compare weave and color first.
How is a natural-fiber upgrade paid for on a sofa?
Order the sofa through its normal listing, then pay the fabric difference for natural linen, viscose or cotton through a separate link the workshop sends; the quote states the amount. One cotton sofa quote came in a little above the usual difference.
