Can I see a finished cushion in my fabric, not just the swatch?

Also asked as:Do you have examples in this color? Is it possible to see color 66 as a couch?

A swatch the size of a stamp tells you the color. A finished cushion across a room tells you its mood. Ask for both.

The quick answer

Yes, the workshop usually has photos of a finished cushion in your fabric: pieces made for other customers in that code, plus review photos taken in real homes. If a color has never been made up, you get a close-up of the fabric instead, and the color chart or a physical sample stays the safest check.

Key facts

  • Photos of finished cushions, covers and sofas made for other customers are shared when available.
  • Review photos from real homes are shared as color references.
  • If your exact piece isn't pictured in a color, a review of another piece in the same fabric is shared.
  • A photo of your chosen color can be sent before dispatch, with a lighter alternative offered.
  • Some colors have never been made into a finished piece; a close-up is sent instead.
  • Workshop photos are phone shots, so lighting can shift tones a little.
  • Matching piping means piping in the same fabric and color as the cover.
  • Physical swatches are palm-sized, about 4 x 4 to 6 x 6 in, and show the true color in your own daylight.
  • The outdoor range alone has about 150-200 colors, so not every code has been made into a finished cushion yet.

Why the swatch and the sofa disagree

A small square of fabric shows you a color. A whole cushion, seen from the doorway, shows you how that color holds a room. Daylight never lies; your screen sometimes does.

So ask by code, my friends, not by name. Buyers who asked for 112 burnt terracotta velvet were sent two finished orders in that code, and requests for P-62 velvet or L-53 linen brought recent customer pieces. When a photo says “matching piping,” the piping is cut from the same fabric and color as the body.

The screen vs swatch pattern explains the rest. Which window lights the room where your cushion will live?

A real project

A pink close to purple, then a lighter offer

A buyer in the US wanted to know what a color really looked like before anything shipped. The workshop sent real customer photos of no. 46, a pink close to purple. Later, before dispatch, it sent a photo of the chosen no. 26 and offered a lighter alternative, so the decision was made in daylight, not on a screen.

In a finished-cushion photo, “matching piping” means the piping is cut from the same fabric and color as the cushion body.

Buyer questions

  1. A common question

Can you send real photos of a fabric, or of a finished cushion in it, before I decide?

    The workshop's answer

Yes. Name the fabric codes and you get close-ups, professional fabric photos, or photos of cushions and covers made for other customers. Workshop photos are phone shots, so the lighting isn't perfect; with no finished example, a close-up is sent.

  2. A common question

Do you have photos of cushions in a color, in real homes or natural light?

    The workshop's answer

Where available, customer review photos from real homes or finished orders in that fabric are shared. If a module isn't shown in a color, a review of another module in the same fabric is sent. Chart colors or physical samples remain the best reference.

  3. A common question

Can you show me a color as a finished cushion or sofa?

    The workshop's answer

Photos of sample cushions and color charts are sent on request, such as khaki, mint and anthracite, or dark brown beside red wine. Some colors have never been made into a sofa, and then swatches are the next step.

  4. A common question

Can I see a bigger piece of the fabric on a finished cushion?

    The workshop's answer

Yes. Photos of finished cushions in the colors you're weighing, from golden yellow and olive to smoke, mint and beige, are sent, and a physical sample can follow.

Questions buyers ask next

Are workshop photos color-accurate?

Close, not exact. They are taken on a phone, so lighting can shift tones a little. Use them to judge a color at a distance, and the color chart or a physical sample for the exact tone.

Can I see my fabric and piping side by side first?

Yes. The workshop photographs your body fabric and piping swatches together, in as many combinations as you need. It doesn't make AI mockups, and not every pairing exists as a finished cushion.

Which codes read as a deep burgundy or maroon?

Look at 936 (burgundy), 938 (maroon), 937 and 118 for solid indoor reds, or linen L52 for a deep red. Say whether the cushion is for indoors or outdoors, and ask for close-ups.
