The Cutting Table · a question, worked through
I saw a fabric code in a photo that isn't on the color chart. Can I still order it?
Charts are tidier than stockrooms. Some good fabrics fall off the page and stay on the shelf, and a few codes in photos were never real to begin with.

The quick answer
A fabric code seen in a photo but missing from the color chart can often still be ordered, because the chart isn't the full stock list. L-54 is in stock and matches L-02, 938 is still available though removed, and pink velvet 15 is now 119. Type the code in personalization, and ask the shop to confirm any code that looks wrong.
Key facts
- L-54 is in stock but not shown on the chart.
- L-54 and L-02 are the same or near-identical fabric; either code works.
- 938 is still in stock though removed from the chart.
- Old velvet code 15 is now 119, same material and shade.
- Color dropdowns were removed after renumbering; codes are typed in personalization.
- Linen chart codes end at L-53.
- Some codes in photos are errors; there is no 238.
- A fabric sample can be ordered by code; swatches run about 4 x 4 to 6 x 6 in (10 x 10 to 15 x 15 cm).
- The outdoor range alone runs to about 150-200 colors across several charts.

Leave your details and the workshop will call you to confirm measurements, fabric, foam and piping. No prices, dates or payment on this page: it is a request, not an order.
“I can't find L-54 on your charts. Is it gone?”
Not gone, just off the page. L-54 shows up in best-seller photos because it's one of the most popular fabrics, and it's in stock. It was left off the chart because it matches L-02, so either code gets you the same cloth. The linen chart ends at L-53, which is exactly why people go looking.
Code 938 is the same story: removed from the chart because a very similar color exists, still on the shelf if you write it.
“My old pink was #15. Is that the new number?”
The pink velvet once numbered 15 is now 119, identical in material and shade. When the chart was renumbered, the old dropdown numbers stopped matching, so the dropdowns came out. Now you type your exact fabric code in personalization.
I'll admit I cheered. A typed code can't be misclicked, and I have misclicked a dropdown or two in my time.
“The photo says 238 for the piping. What's that?”
A typo, dear. There is no 238. A few codes in photos are simply errors, and if a code sits beside a swatch that looks like the wrong color, it may have shifted a row on the chart. Ask the shop to confirm before production, and you'll get the color you saw, not the number you read.
The personalization note Pattern covers the rest of the box, and a swatch before ordering settles any lingering doubt. Which code caught your eye?
Right, then: what goes in the personalization box
- Exact size: length, depth and thickness
- Main fabric code, exactly as written, e.g. L-54
- Piping code, or 'no piping'
- Extras such as ties or backrest notes
- Codes, not color names
A color chart isn't the full stock list: L-54 and 938 are both in stock even though neither appears on the chart.

Buyer questions
- A common question
I spotted a fabric code in a photo that isn't on the chart. Can I still order it?
The workshop's answerOften yes. L-54 isn't on the chart but is in stock, the same fabric as L-02 under a newer code, so either works. Code 938 was removed because a very similar color exists, but it's still in stock if you write it. Some codes in photos are errors; there is no 238.
- A common question
L-54 is in your best-seller photos but not on the chart. Is it still available?
The workshop's answerYes. It's in stock and one of the most popular fabrics; it was left off the main chart because it's almost identical to another shade. Just type L-54 in personalization.
- A common question
Your color numbers changed. Is pink #15 the same as the new number?
The workshop's answerYes. The pink velvet previously numbered 15 is now 119, identical in material and shade. The color dropdown was removed because its numbers no longer matched the chart; type your exact code in personalization.
- A common question
If the size dropdown and the exact size I typed don't match, which one do you make?
The workshop's answerYour typed exact size wins; the dropdown only sets the size range and price. Colors agreed in writing override default listing fields, and the shop confirms size and color at production start.
Questions buyers ask next
Why would a popular fabric be missing from the chart?
Charts get trimmed when two shades are near-identical. L-54 was left off because it matches L-02, and 938 because a very similar color exists. Both stayed in stock, so a missing code isn't proof the fabric is gone.
Should I write the color name or the code?
The code. A name like sage or navy can describe several shades, while a chart code points to one fabric. Type it exactly as it appears, including any letter prefix such as the L- on linen codes.
What if the code in a review photo looks like the wrong color?
Older photos and reviews can carry old numbering, and a code may have shifted a row on the chart. Send the photo and the code to the shop and ask it to confirm the match before production starts.
