A butter yellow corner floor cushion, and the teal behind it
A white corner, one plant, one low shelf, and a seat the color of fresh butter. Shape and cloth were chosen separately, and so can yours be.
The quick answer
A corner floor cushion can be made in a different fabric from the one pictured, because the cutting pattern stays the same when the cloth changes. One buyer asked for corduroy and got a 46 x 46 in (117 x 117 cm) corner in green. On a floor seat, put the deeper color on the backrest and the warmer one on the seat.
Five details on the corner floor seat, left to right
Each pin marks one decision, from the leaf at the left edge to the mug on the shelf.
The numbers match the pins on the plate.

Warm seat, cool back, one white corner
Start with temperature, my friend, because the photograph does. The seat is butter yellow, a warm linen-look weave that takes morning sun without glare. The two flanged backrest pillows behind it are teal, cooler and a shade deeper. Warm in front, cool behind: that is why a cushion lying on the floor reads like a chair.
The piping is cut from the same yellow. It follows the box edge without adding a third color, so your eye stays on the two that matter. A seam is a promise, and a welt that wandered here would show from across the room.
The seat fills the corner and stops. White wall shows on both sides and nothing hangs above it. On corner floor cushions, that restraint is most of the style.
Monstera, oak cube and rug: why each prop stays
The monstera stands at the left edge. Its split leaves repeat the teal and give the corner one shape that is not a straight line.
The small oak cube on the right holds books and a mug at seat height. A floor seat wants its table low, or you are reaching up for your coffee.
The pale gray rug sits under two strong colors and keeps them from getting loud. Take it away and the yellow would sit hard on the boards.
Which corner of your house is still empty? To copy this one in your living room, split one warm solid and one cool solid between seat and back. Linen-look fabrics take both colors well.
The buyer who wanted corduroy on a corner
A buyer wrote in about the quarter corner floor cushion. They liked the shape, but the photos showed it in velvet or linen, and they asked for corduroy.
The workshop said yes. The pattern for a corner cushion does not care which cloth is laid on it. The workshop made it at 46 x 46 in (117 x 117 cm) in green corduroy, and told the buyer to pick any green on the order page and write the fabric in the note. One question, one choice, and the result was the cushion they had pictured.

- Green corduroy
The lesson: Ask for a fabric swap on a shape you like; the pattern stays the same.
On the cutting table: the corner floor seat

A 46 x 46 in corner floor cushion keeps its cutting pattern when the fabric changes, so corduroy can go where the photo shows linen.

Three questions from floor-seat buyers
- A common question
The color I want shows as out of stock. Will it come back?
The workshop's answerUsually, yes. Out-of-stock options are restocked when a buyer asks, most often the same day, and then you can order as normal.
- A common question
Can I make an offer or get a discount on a floor cushion or a set of covers?
The workshop's answerSometimes. A make-an-offer discount was given on a 28 x 60 in (71 x 152 cm) floor seat, and a lower offer was accepted on a cover set. Other times the price was already the lowest. Multiples, like four 18 in (46 cm) round cushions, are quoted together.
- A common question
If I order a custom floor cushion, what size will the back cushion be?
The workshop's answerThe backrest is made to the seat's own footprint. A 16 x 29 x 6 in (41 x 74 x 15 cm) seat gets a 16 x 29 in back at the standard 4 in (10 cm) thickness, and a 31 x 31 in (79 x 79 cm) seat gets a back matched to its width.
Questions buyers ask next
Will a corduroy corner cushion have piping?
Usually not. Corduroy pieces are made without piping, because the ribs already draw the edge. If you move a piped linen-look design into corduroy, expect a clean seam where the welt used to be.
Why split two colors between a floor seat and its back?
A warm seat and a cooler, deeper back give the piece depth in a plain white room, and the darker color behind makes a low seat read like a chair. Keep both solid if you want color without pattern.
Where do backrests go on a corner floor cushion?
Along the walls. The two straight sides of a corner cushion meet the walls, so backrests or pillows lean there, and the curved front stays open for sitting down and getting up.
