Why the plan starts at the frame
Old cushions drift, partner. Foam settles and covers stretch; the frame stays put. So the plan starts with the inside of each frame, then the thickness you choose, and the thickness can still move before cutting. One sofa set went from 6 in to 5 in (15 to 13 cm) after the plan was drawn.
For a curved-back wicker chair, a tape measure only gets you halfway. Clear photos let the workshop draw a template for each chair type, and you check the curve before anything is cut. If you'd rather trace it yourself, the paper template Pattern shows how.

The workshop's answerYes. Send photos with the seat and back measurements; the workshop replicates them and quotes per chair, and the quote states the shipping cost. Thinner foam, 4 in (10 cm) rather than 6 in (15 cm), costs less.

How long can one rattan sofa seat cushion be?
One piece is usually possible on request; cushions of 104 in and 138 in have been made. The workshop still recommends about 79 to 90 in (200 to 230 cm) per piece and often suggests two equal pieces for easier shipping and handling.
Can several seat cushions sit flush on one long rattan frame?
Yes. Divide the total inside length into equal pieces and send each cushion's width, depth and thickness. Order each section separately, and go slightly smaller only if you want gaps between them.
Does a straight-sided wicker chair need a template?
No. Straight seats only need inside width, depth and thickness. Templates are for curved or shaped chairs, and the workshop draws those from your photos for you to confirm.
