The Cutting Table · a question, worked through

Can I mix colors on my modular sofa, with each piece a different color?

Yes, and the order note is where your palette lives, written piece by piece like a painter's labeled sketch.

The quick answer

Yes, each piece of a modular floor sofa can be a different color: choose the mix-color option and write in the order note or Personalization which color goes on which piece. The ottoman and the smaller loveseat can be mixed too, and you are not limited to the pairings in the photos. The one gap is black, which the sofa corduroy does not come in.

Key facts

  • Each piece of a modular sofa can be made in a different color.
  • A mix-color option exists on the order.
  • The color for each piece is written in the order note or Personalization field.
  • Any chart colors can be combined, not only the ones in the photos.
  • The sofa corduroy range has no black.
  • Spare cover sets in a second color can be bought to swap between.
  • The sofa corduroy comes in about 9-10 colors, with anthracite and brown the darkest.
  • Each seat mattress is about 79 x 39 x 6.5 in (200 x 100 x 17 cm) and each L-shaped backrest about 39 x 39 x 15 in (100 x 100 x 39 cm), so each can carry its own color.

“Can each piece be its own color?”

Yes, piece by piece. Every backrest, seat cushion, the ottoman and even the smaller loveseat can take its own color from the chart. Choose the mix-color option and write in the order note or Personalization box which piece gets which color.

The mixes buyers have ordered read like a paint box: indigo blue beside navy; yellow and pink seat cushions under blue and brick L-shaped backrests; one backrest in brick, one in water green, both bottom cushions in cream white. A buyer in the US wanted only the ottoman in pink. The modular floor sofa pages name every piece.

Writing the color note so nothing is guessed

  1. Pick the mix-color option

The note does the real work.

  2. Name every piece

Backrests, seat cushions, ottoman, loveseat: one line each.

  3. Use the chart's color names

Anthracite, off white, water green, mustard. Chart names reach the cutting table intact.

  4. Answer the one follow-up

If a piece has no color, the workshop asks before it starts. The Personalization note Pattern shows a clean example.

“What about half black, half white?”

That is the one mix I have to turn down. The sofa corduroy has no black. The mixed sofa in the review photos is dark blue with cream: much the same contrast, the way ink rests on paper instead of shouting from it.

Let one color speak and the others listen. A single brick backrest against cream seats reads as a decision. Before you choose, the Pattern on screen color versus daylight is worth ten minutes.

“Can I change the colors later?”

In a way, yes. Some buyers order a spare cover set in a second color and swap between the two. The replacement cover Pattern explains how those sets are sized.

Which piece in your room wants to be the loud one, my friends?

Sofa corduroy has no black, so the mixed sofa in the review photos is dark blue with cream: the same contrast, with a softer edge.

Buyer questions

  1. A common question

Can I order a corner sofa with the cushions in mixed colors, like half black and half white?

    The workshop's answer

Mixed colors are possible: choose the mix-color option and write which color goes on each piece in the order notes. The corduroy has no black, though; the mixed sofa in the review photos was dark blue with cream.

  2. A common question

Can different parts of the sofa be different colors in the same fabric?

    The workshop's answer

Yes. Write in the Personalization section which parts you want in which color, for example the couch in one color and the ottoman in another.

  3. A common question

Could one sofa set come in four different colors?

    The workshop's answer

Yes. Any colors can be mixed. Write the combination in the order notes, for example anthracite/pink, off white, water green and mustard.

  4. A common question

Can the ottoman be pink when the rest of the sofa isn't?

    The workshop's answer

Yes. Colors can be customized per piece, such as a pink ottoman. For mixed-color orders, the workshop asks which colors you want.

Questions buyers ask next

Which color pairings have buyers chosen for a two-tone floor sofa?

Real orders have paired indigo blue with navy, brick and water green backrests over cream white seats, and yellow and pink seat cushions under blue and brick backrests. One buyer chose anthracite/pink, off white, water green and mustard for a four-color set.

Is a spare cover set in a second color possible?

Yes. Some buyers order a second cover set in another color and swap between the two, so the same set of cushions can wear a different palette through the year without buying a new sofa.

Why does the sofa in the listing photo look different from the color chart?

Usually both are right. Warm light makes fabric look creamier and daylight makes it grayer, so a photo and a chart can disagree. Ask for extra or review photos of the colors you are mixing before you order.
