The dropdown ends at 5 or 6 in. The foam doesn't. Here's the thread, one follow-up at a time, partner.

The quick answer
The thickest custom seat cushion the workshop states is about 15.7 in (40 cm), even though the standard menu tops out at about 5-6 in (12.5-15 cm). Cushions 5, 6 and 8 in thick are routine. For about 10 in (25 cm), add two 5 in (12.5 cm) cushions to the cart and note that you want one 9¾ in (25 cm) piece, or ask for a custom link.

Leave your details and the workshop will call you to confirm measurements, fabric, foam and piping. No prices, dates or payment on this page: it is a request, not an order.
“Is 4 inches your thickest option?”
No. Four inches is where many menus stop, not where the foam stops. Thickness is fully customizable: 5 in, 6 in (15 cm) and 8 in (about 20 cm) are routine builds, and the stated ceiling is about 15.7 in (40 cm).
The standard metric menu tops out at 5 in (12.5 cm) on some listings and 6 in (15 cm) on others. Past that, you're in custom territory. That's a different form to fill in, not a no.
“Fine. How do I get 9¾ in (25 cm) in one piece?”
Add two 5 in (12.5 cm) cushions to the cart
Same length and depth, each at the 5 in (12.5 cm) thickness. Two 5 in (12.5 cm) prices cover one 10 in (25 cm) cushion.
Write the instruction in personalization
Say it plainly: one cushion, 9¾ in (25 cm) thick, not two cushions. Repeat the exact length and depth.
Or ask for a custom link
If the cart arithmetic feels odd, ask the workshop for a custom order link at your exact thickness.
“My old cushion was 6¼ in (16 cm). Do I need a custom build?”
Look hard at the 6 in (15 cm) option first. It's ½ in (1 cm) thinner than 6¼ in (16 cm), about 3/8 in, and it still gives a deep, sofa-like seat. Tolerance is kindness to your future self.
Whatever you pick, thickness moves your seat height and your knee clearance under the table. Run the numbers in the seat height calculator and check the banquette thickness Pattern before a thick banquette cushion lifts everyone's elbows above the tabletop.
“Should the back be as thick as the seat?”
Usually not. Write each cushion's thickness in personalization, say a 4 in seat with a 2 or 3 in back. Keep a foam backrest at 2 in (5 cm) or more; thinner foam flattens against the back.
One more data point: 2, 3, 4 and 5 in cushions all use the same firm 32-density foam, so 4 and 5 in feel alike and the difference is mostly the look. The foam firmness finder helps if feel matters more than height. What does your seat measure from floor to cushion top today?
Custom seat cushions go as thick as about 15.7 in (40 cm); 5, 6 and 8 in builds are routine, whatever the dropdown says.

Buyer questions
- A common question
Is 4 in the thickest you make, or can I get 5, 6 or 8 in?
The workshop's answerThickness is fully customizable. The shop has made 5 in, 6 in (15 cm) and 8 in (about 20 cm) cushions and says it can go up to about 15.7 in (40 cm).
- A common question
Can you make an extra-thick window bench cushion, around 6¼ in (16 cm)?
The workshop's answerThe thickest standard option is about 6 in (15 cm). That's only ½ in (1 cm) less than 6¼ in (16 cm) and still gives a deep, sofa-like feel.
- A common question
Can you make a cushion 9¾ in (25 cm) thick?
The workshop's answerYes. Add two 5 in (12.5 cm) thickness cushions to the cart and write in personalization that you want one 9¾ in (25 cm) cushion, or ask for a custom order link.
- A common question
And the other end: what's the thinnest cushion you make?
The workshop's answer2 in (5 cm) is the thinnest standard option and the recommended minimum for seating. Thinner pads can be custom made: piping works down to about 1.2 in (3 cm), and 1 in (2 cm) pads are made without piping.
Questions buyers ask next
Does a thicker cushion feel softer?
Not necessarily. The 2, 3, 4 and 5 in cushions all use the same firm 32-density foam, so 4 and 5 in feel alike. Extra thickness changes the look and the seat height more than the firmness.
Will an extra-thick cushion change my seat height?
Yes, roughly inch for inch. Every inch of cushion raises the seat top by about an inch, so check the finished height against your table, window sill or knees before ordering; the seat height calculator does the arithmetic.
Is an 8 in cushion a special request?
It's routine. An 8 in (about 20 cm) cushion is no problem, but it sits past the standard menu, so it goes through a custom link or the two-cushion cart method with a clear note in personalization.
