The Cutting Table · a checklist answer
Tracking says delivered, but my package isn't here. Now what?
Also asked as:It says it arrived, and it's not anywhere.FedEx says delivered. It hasn't been.
A delivered scan is the carrier's word, not yours. Here is the order to search in, and what the workshop does when the box truly isn't there.
SaveThe quick answer
If tracking says delivered but the package isn't there, check the carrier's delivery photo, then the porch, side door, backyard, mailroom, parcel lockers and neighbors. Couriers sometimes mark a parcel early or leave it nearby. If it still doesn't turn up, the workshop confirms your address and opens a carrier investigation.
Key facts
- The workshop can share the carrier's proof of delivery and delivery photo.
- Couriers sometimes mark a parcel delivered early or leave it nearby.
- Multi-parcel orders often show some boxes still in transit.
- If the parcel stays missing, the workshop confirms the address and opens a carrier investigation.

Have Callum’s workshop cut this for you
Tell them where it lives. Porch, deck or boat: the weather picks the fabric and the foam before anyone else does. — Callum
Leave your details and the workshop will call you to confirm measurements, fabric, foam and piping. No prices, dates or payment on this page: it is a request, not an order.
Search in this order
- Open the delivery photo and compare the door, steps and house number with yours.
- Walk the porch, side door and backyard; couriers sometimes leave a box around the corner.
- Check the mailroom, parcel lockers and building reception.
- Ask everyone in the house, then the neighbors.
- Count the tracking numbers: multi-piece orders ship as separate boxes, and some may still be in transit.
- Save any doorbell or porch camera footage for the claim.
When the box really isn't there
Weather you can see coming. A missing parcel sneaks up on you. If the search comes up empty, message the workshop. It confirms the address on the order and opens an investigation with the carrier, and it can send you the proof of delivery and the photo the driver took.
Once, when a parcel plainly went to the wrong house and wasn't recovered, the workshop didn't make the buyer wait out the investigation. It remade and reshipped the whole order, about 1-2 weeks. Goodwill outcomes have varied from case to case, from a free replacement to a full refund.
Where does your carrier usually leave things, friend? Tell the workshop; it helps the investigation.
Misdelivered, missing or stolen
| What happened | What the workshop has done |
|---|---|
| Delivered to the wrong house, not recovered | In one case, remade and reshipped the whole order in about 1-2 weeks |
| Part of a multi-parcel order never delivered | Has resent the missing parts |
| Loss confirmed by the carrier | Has sent a new item once the loss was confirmed |
| Correctly delivered, then stolen | Not the seller's responsibility; one buyer was offered a replacement at a small fraction of the product cost |
Moves that don't help find a missing package
- Changing the address in your marketplace profile after ordering: the shipment keeps the address it left with.
- Assuming one missing box means a missing order: split parcels often arrive a day or so apart.
- Leaving the phone number off: couriers use it to reach you, and without it parcels can be held or returned.
A delivered scan with no box on the porch starts with the delivery photo; if the house in the photo isn't yours, the workshop opens a carrier investigation.

Buyer questions
- A common question
Tracking says delivered, but I can't find the package anywhere.
The workshop's answerThe workshop shares the carrier's proof of delivery and delivery photo. Check the porch, side door, mailroom, household members and neighbors, since parcels are sometimes moved after delivery. If it still doesn't turn up, the workshop opens an investigation with the carrier.
- A common question
Tracking says my floor sofa was delivered, but I don't have it.
The workshop's answerCheck the front door, backyard, neighbors and any parcel lockers, and compare with the carrier's delivery photo; multi-parcel orders often have boxes still in transit. For parts that truly never arrived, message the workshop with the tracking details; missing parts have been resent before. For a correctly delivered sofa that was then stolen, the workshop offered a replacement at a small fraction of the product cost.
- A common question
My package shows delivered but I never got it. What can you do?
The workshop's answerCheck the delivery photo, doors, mailroom and neighbors first. If it's still missing, the workshop opens a case with the carrier; in past cases it sent a new item once the loss was confirmed, and in one case it offered to share the cost of a remake or refund part of the order.
- A common question
The carrier says delivered and I never got it. Will you help me?
The workshop's answerYes. After checks around the property and with neighbors, the workshop opened a FedEx investigation and shared the proof of delivery. In that case it offered a free replacement and in the end gave a full refund. Adding your phone number for the courier helps prevent this.
- A common question
I only received part of my cushion set. Is the rest lost?
The workshop's answerUsually not. Multi-piece orders ship as separate parcels with their own tracking numbers and often arrive a day or so apart. If a piece is really missing, message the workshop with the tracking numbers; missing parts of a split order have been resent before.
Questions buyers ask next
Should I update my account address if the parcel went to the wrong place?
Changing the address in your marketplace profile after ordering doesn't change a shipment already on its way. Message the workshop instead: it confirms the address with the carrier and opens the investigation from there.
How long does a replacement take after a misdelivery?
In one case, a parcel clearly went to the wrong house and couldn't be recovered, and the workshop remade and reshipped the whole order, which took about 1-2 weeks, rather than make the buyer wait out the carrier's investigation. For yours, the timing depends on what has to be remade, so ask the workshop once the investigation is open.
Why does the courier want my phone number?
The express courier uses a reachable phone number to arrange delivery and contact you before it arrives. Without one, parcels can be held or returned. Add it in the order note or personalization box, or message it after ordering.
