How is a floor sofa packed for a long trip?

Not in one big box. A floor sofa ships as vacuum-sealed roll packs of compressed cushions plus a small box of metal bars. They ship together but often arrive on different days, sometimes with different couriers.

Why does my tracking show nothing yet?

The label is often created before the carrier collects the parcel, so tracking stays blank until the first pickup scan. If it still looks stuck after that, the workshop checks with the courier.

Can a parcel to New Zealand be held at customs?

It can. International parcels can meet customs checks, and the courier may call the phone number on the order to clear them, so put a number you'll answer in the order note.
