The Cutting Table · a question, worked through
Will you hold the sale price if I order in a week or two?
Samples take time to reach the porch. In past cases the sale outlasted them, and when it didn't, one message settled it.

The quick answer
A sale price isn't guaranteed to wait, because sales are the workshop's to set. In past cases a sale outlasted the samples, one ran through a whole summer, and buyers who messaged after a sale ended were still given the sale price, even on a listing restocked after it sold out. Order swatches first, then ask the workshop before you pay. There are no newsletter sign-up codes.
Key facts
- Sales are the workshop's to set; this site can't promise how long one runs.
- One sale ran through the whole summer.
- In past cases a sale lasted long enough to order samples and choose.
- Buyers who messaged before ordering after a sale ended have still been given the sale price.
- A sold-out listing has been restocked at the same sale price.
- There are no newsletter sign-up discount codes.
- Extra discounts beyond the sale are decided case by case.
- Fabric swatches are roughly palm-sized, about 4 x 4 to 6 x 6 in (10 x 10 to 15 x 15 cm), enough to judge a color while the sale waits.

Have Rosa’s workshop cut this for you
Swings sway, rockers rock, dogs circle three times. Tell the workshop what your seat goes through, and they will plan for it. — Rosa
Leave your details and the workshop will call you to confirm measurements, fabric, foam and piping. No prices, dates or payment on this page: it is a request, not an order.
First question on the porch: will the price wait?
Pull up a chair, because this one comes up nearly every week. A buyer likes the price but wants fabric swatches in hand first. Fair enough. Nobody should pick a color off a phone screen.
The workshop's sales haven't been flash sales. One ran straight through the summer. That left room for samples to arrive and settle the argument between the sage and the olive. Which two colors are you stuck between?
Follow-up: and if the sale ends while I'm deciding?
Then you write to the workshop before you order, neighbor. In past cases it switched the sale back on for the buyer or honored the discounted price on the order, and it once restocked a listing that had sold out at the same sale price. That's history, not a promise, so ask before you pay.
There is no code for joining a newsletter. The sale price is already the discount.
The buyer who needed two more weeks
One buyer wrote in asking whether today's price would still stand if the order came in a week or two later. The answer was plain: prices would stay as they were, the sale would keep running, and if it did end, a message would still get the discounted price. The listing that buyer wanted had sold out, so the workshop restocked it at the same sale price.
Going lower still is case by case. Around a US holiday the workshop took a little off an L-shaped sofa order, and it told a returning customer that the listed price was already its best.
How to keep the sale price while samples travel
Order the swatches first
Ask for the two or three colors you are torn between. In past cases the sale was still running when the swatches landed.
Look at them in daylight
Hold them against the bench or sofa at noon and at dusk. Then decide.
Check the listing before you pay
If the sale price is gone, message the workshop before paying full price.
Ask about the sale price
In past cases the workshop reactivated the discount or honored it on the order, even for a listing that sold out while the buyer waited.
One custom cushion sale lasted all summer, long enough to get fabric samples first; still, ask the workshop about the price before you pay.

Buyer questions
- A common question
If I wait for my fabric samples, will the sale price still be there?
The workshop's answerIn that buyer's case, yes: the discounted prices were set to run for a few more months, which left time for the samples to arrive and for a choice. Check the listing again before you pay.
- A common question
Is the sale still on in a few days, and is there a code for joining your newsletter?
The workshop's answerThe prices that buyer saw were already discounted, and that sale ran through the summer. If a sale ends before you order, message the workshop; in past cases it switched the discount back on. There are no newsletter sign-up codes.
- A common question
Could you honor the sale price if I order in a week or two?
The workshop's answerFor that buyer, yes: prices were staying as they were and the sale would keep running, and if it ended, the discounted price would still be honored on request. A listing that had sold out was restocked at the same sale price. Extra discounts are case by case: a little came off an L-shaped sofa around a US holiday, while a returning customer was told the listed price was already the best.
Questions buyers ask next
Can I make an offer below the sale price on the teddy floor sofa?
Only within limits. Offers a little under the sale price have been considered and low offers declined. Small codes, discounts held until payday and sofa-plus-pouf bundles have happened case by case, so ask the workshop rather than counting on one.
Does the floor sofa set listing price cover every piece?
On the floor sofa set listing, yes: the price covers the whole filled set of seat, backrest and armrests. The single floor cushion listing and modular pieces are priced per piece, so set the quantity in the cart.
How deep do the cushion sales usually go?
That changes from sale to sale and is the workshop's to set, so this site doesn't quote a figure. The discount is already built into the listed price, so the number you see during a sale is the sale price.
