Why the pet-friendly chart comes first
Kids and dogs are the real quality control, neighbor, so pick the fabric for the animal, not the showroom. For a dog bed that gets dragged, dug at and slept on, the workshop points first to its pet-friendly fabric chart. It is hard-wearing, and it washes at up to 86°F (30°C). You'll find that family in the performance and pet-friendly fabrics swatch pages.
One buyer wanted beige with rust-brown contrast piping. The suggestion was G48 for the body and G52 for the piping, though any pairing on the chart works. If a fabric you chose is discontinued, the workshop offers a very similar in-stock one that is also pet-suitable.
Cats are gentler on the goods. A thick velvet floor cushion has been made for one, and a plain floor cushion without its backrest works as a dog bed from day one. The pet-friendly cushion fabric Pattern goes deeper. Where does your dog sleep when nobody's watching?
The bed under the stairs
A buyer wrote to the workshop about a nook under the stairs, the kind every house has and nobody knows what to do with. The dog had already decided. The workshop made a bed about 31.5 x 39.5 in (80 x 100 cm) and 4 in (10 cm) thick to slide into that nook, cut in the same fabric as the family's kitchen bench cushions. Now the dog's bed and the family's seat match, and everybody knows whose spot is whose. More builds like it live in custom dog beds and cat corners.
A cushion bed for one person plus one large dog starts at about 28 x 64 in (71 x 163 cm), and it can be made longer and wider.
