The Cutting Table · a common question

Do you sell custom cushions wholesale, and is there a minimum order?

Also asked as:do you wholesalesend us a line sheet

Right, then. Line sheets, tiers and minimums are how factories talk. This is three master tailors and a cutting table, so the answer is shorter, and kinder to small buyers.

The quick answer

There is no wholesale tier and no minimum order: every buyer pays the same producer price per piece, whether the order is one cushion or thirty. Larger runs of one size have still come in at a lower per-piece price, as 30 or more identical cushions did. There is no catalog or line sheet beyond the online shop, and master tailors sew everything.

What a trade buyer asks for, and what the answer is

You asked forThe answer
A minimum orderNo None. One cushion is an order.
A line sheet or catalogNo The online shop is the catalog.
A wholesale price tierNo One producer price per piece, for everyone.
A volume priceYes Larger runs of one size have come in lower; each bulk quote is worked out on its own.
A standing supply agreementNo Orders are quoted one at a time.
An influencer or partnership dealNo Sometimes a discount code instead.

Why a small workshop skips the wholesale tier

A wholesale tier exists so a factory can move stock through middlemen. Here nothing sits in stock: every piece is handmade by three master tailors, so the retail buyer and the café owner pay the same producer price. I admit I once assumed a small maker must have a secret trade list. It doesn't, dear, and the honesty is refreshing.

The discount lives in repetition: identical cushions of one size are where the price drops. If you're outfitting a café or a rental, the commercial cushion pattern covers what to specify, and floor cushions and bench cushions are the usual starting points. How many of your cushions share exactly one size?

A small made-to-measure workshop has no line sheet and no minimum order: one custom cushion or thirty, every buyer pays the same producer price per piece.

Buyer questions

  1. A common question

Do you supply wholesale or bulk orders for resale?

    The workshop's answer

Not as wholesale: there's no resale tier. The workshop isn't taking influencer or partnership deals either, though it sometimes offers a discount code instead.

  2. A common question

Is there a catalog, and what's your minimum order?

    The workshop's answer

No catalog beyond the online shop and no minimum, because every piece is handmade by three master tailors. Prices are per piece and the same for everyone; on a run of 30 or more cushions of one size, the per-piece price dropped by about a fifth.

  3. A common question

Do you do bulk pricing for 10 or more of the same cushion?

    The workshop's answer

Yes, and identical batches have had the biggest cuts: 26 matching bench cushions came in well under list per piece, and that quote included delivery. Each bulk quote is calculated individually.

  4. A common question

Can you make floor sofa sets in bulk for a café or playroom business?

    The workshop's answer

Yes. Floor sofa sets with backrests and armrests are made in custom sizes for shops, cafés and playrooms, with a better price on multiple sets.

Questions buyers ask next

Can I mix different cushion sizes in one bulk order?

Yes. Send every size, quantity and fabric together for one total, which often lands a little below the sum of the listing prices. The deepest cuts still go to identical cushions of one size.

Will the workshop sign an ongoing supply contract with my store?

No. It doesn't sign regular wholesale supply agreements. Each order is quoted and made on its own, at the same per-piece producer price every buyer pays, with reductions on larger runs.

Which standard sizes are used as reference points for a quote?

Squares of 20 × 20 in (50 × 50 cm) and 40 × 40 in (100 × 100 cm), and a 20 × 40 in (50 × 100 cm) rectangle. Anything else is made to measure and quoted the same way.
