The Cutting Table · compared on the table
Can I buy a second set of sofa covers in another color or fabric?
Also asked as:Can I buy different color covers separately?Do you offer other materials for the couch covers?
Yes, and it's the kindest thing you can do for one sofa: a set for wash day, and a set for a change of mood.
SaveThe quick answer
Replacement floor sofa covers are sold separately, so you can keep a second set in another color or fabric. Stock corduroy covers are the quickest to send. Velvet, linen, teddy bouclé or soft performance fabric covers are made to order, cost more than corduroy and take longer, so ask the workshop for current production and delivery times in writing.

Color is easier to settle in a conversation than on a screen. Tell the workshop about the room and the light it gets, and the fabric choice follows. — Élodie

Corduroy in January, linen in July: a second cover set
My friends, look at the stack in the photograph: burgundy velvet, olive, aqua velvet and oatmeal, each finished with contrast piping. That is what a second set can do. One set goes into the wash while the other stays on, and the same sofa can wear ribbed mustard corduroy in January and a cool oatmeal linen in July.
Let one color speak and the others listen: if your rug is busy, choose a quiet second set. Hold a swatch against the room in daylight before you commit; screen versus swatch explains why. For fit and sizing, see the floor sofa replacement covers Pattern, and browse cushion covers, corduroy and bouclé and teddy. Which color would your sofa wear in winter?
Before you ask for a covers-only quote
- The fabric family and color code you want.
- Whether you need the set soon (stock corduroy) or can wait for a made-to-order fabric.
- A note if you're choosing a pale shade like bone, which can be quoted a little higher.
Replacement floor sofa covers in velvet, linen or teddy bouclé are cut and sewn to order, so stock corduroy is the set that goes out first.

Buyer questions
- A common question
Can my replacement sofa covers come in linen or velvet instead of corduroy, and how long would that take?
The workshop's answerCorduroy covers are in stock and the quickest to ship. Velvet, linen or soft performance fabric covers are made to order at a higher price than corduroy and take longer, because each set is cut and sewn to order. The quote for your color code comes with the timing.
- A common question
Could I get a second set of covers for my floor sofa in another color or fabric?
The workshop's answerYes. Covers can be made in velvet, linen or teddy bouclé, and a full set is quoted on request; a bone or off-white set was once quoted a little higher than standard colors. A second set lets you swap covers while one is washed.
- A common question
Are the floor sofa and its covers velvet or corduroy?
The workshop's answerCorduroy. The teddy floor sofa, pouf, ottoman and replacement covers all use the same ribbed corduroy in every color. Listings that said velvet were corrected; velvet is a separate option.
Questions buyers ask next
Is the velvet for replacement covers cotton velvet?
No. It's synthetic, polyester or a poly-cotton blend, not cotton, linen or silk velvet. It resists crushing, wear and wrinkles better than cotton velvet. For natural fiber, choose the 100% linen range or a cotton-linen fabric.
Will linen replacement covers be pure linen?
Usually not. The standard linen charts are blends or linen-look fabrics, chosen for durability and easy care: polyester, linen-polyester or cotton-linen. A separate 100% linen chart and 100% cotton fabrics are available on request.
What fabrics can a custom cover set be made in?
Three main indoor families, linen, velvet and easy-clean soft fabric, each with a chart of roughly 40 colors, plus teddy, corduroy, 100% cotton or linen, faux leather and a water-repellent outdoor range. More fabrics can be sourced on request.
