## A letter for the night the chairs run out

My friend,

Every host learns the same arithmetic: the chairs run out before the conversation does. We had a saying in the shop for it. A chair seats one; a floor seats whoever shows up.

This corner is built for that. A denim blue quarter-circle seat in a linen-look weave, two cream backrest pillows with flanged edges against white shiplap, and nothing with arms to decide how many may sit. ## Corduroy instead of velvet, same corner

A buyer messaged the workshop about the quarter-tufted corner floor cushion for a reading nook. They liked the design but wanted it in a thick, good-quality cotton corduroy instead of velvet. The shop offered the same corduroy it uses on its modular sofas, at no extra cost, and the cushion was ordered at about 40 x 40 in (102 x 102 cm) in beige.

**A common question:** How many boxes does the modular sofa come in, and how big are they?

**The workshop's answer:** The open-corner sofa ships in 4 boxes, each about 50 x 12 x 12 in and 22 lb (10 kg). Cushions and backrests are compressed in roll packs, and the metal bars come in a separate parcel. A sofa plus a pouf chair arrived as 6 parcels.

**A common question:** Can the metal frame bars be gold, or another color?

**The workshop's answer:** No. The bars come only in silver chrome, even on mustard or other colored sofas.
