# Why does Klarna still show an open invoice after my order was canceled?

*Pull up a chair, neighbor. A canceled order and a stubborn invoice live in two different houses, and only one of them belongs to the shop.*

Also asked as: How do I cancel the order in Klarna?; The invoice is still showing as outstanding

> **The quick answer:** Once the shop has canceled your order, it is fully closed on the shop's side and nothing is owed, even if Klarna still shows an open invoice. Klarna can take a few business days to update; if the invoice is still open after that, contact Klarna or marketplace support. To cancel an order paid with Klarna, open a case with marketplace support.

## Why the shop can't close a Klarna screen

On my grandmother's porch, the grocer's bill and the church pledge were two different envelopes, and paying one never settled the other. Klarna works the same way. The shop sells you the cushion; Klarna keeps its own books, and the marketplace sits between them. So the shop can close the order, but only Klarna or the marketplace can close Klarna's invoice.

## The invoice that outlived the order

A buyer messaged the workshop after an order had been canceled: Klarna still showed an open invoice, and it looked like another order was open again. The shop confirmed the order was fully closed on its side with nothing owed, explained that Klarna can take a few business days to update, and pointed the buyer to Klarna or marketplace support if the invoice stayed open.

> **Tailor's margin:** When a shop cancels an order paid with Klarna, nothing is owed on the shop's side; give Klarna a few business days to catch up.

## Buyer questions

**A common question:** How do I cancel an order I paid for with Klarna?

**The workshop's answer:** The seller has no control over Klarna payments, so you need to open a case with marketplace support to cancel.

**A common question:** The shop canceled my order, but Klarna still says I have an invoice. Do I owe anything?

**The workshop's answer:** Not to the shop: a canceled order is fully closed on its side. Klarna can take a few business days to update; if the invoice is still open after that, contact Klarna or marketplace support, because the shop has no control over their systems.

**A common question:** Is there a showroom where I can see a sofa before ordering?

**The workshop's answer:** There's no showroom or stockist. Most buyers rely on fabric samples, real customer photos and reviews instead, and orders are delivered to the door.

**A common question:** The free pillowcases don't match my sofa. Is that a mistake?

**The workshop's answer:** No. The small pillowcases are a free gift, not part of the order, so their color can differ from your sofa. Matching covers can be bought at cost.
