# Is the floor cushion sofa one piece, or are the back and arms separate?

*Four cushions, not one. They sit together; they are not sewn together. Unless you ask.*

**A common question:** What is the difference between an open and a closed corner?

**The workshop's answer:** A closed corner ends in an L-shaped backrest that wraps the end; an open corner ends in a straight backrest, open like a chaise. Ask for the open end in your order note.

## Questions buyers ask next

### Will the separate cushions shift apart on a hard floor?

They can, since nothing joins them by default. That is what the ties and hook-and-loop options are for: request them in your order note and the pieces are fastened to each other or to a bench.

### Is each armrest made to a custom size as well?

Yes. The seat, backrest and both armrests are each made to the size you order, so the set reads as one arrangement even though every piece is separate.

### How do I make an L-shaped floor couch from these cushions?

Order two sets and arrange them at a right angle as separate pieces. Each set brings its own seat, backrest and armrests, so the corner can be built the way the room needs.
