# Which fabric did another buyer use in their review photo?

*A review photo is a borrowed window into someone else's room. The fabric codes behind it are written down, and the workshop can read them back to you.*

Also asked as: What color is this cushion from the review?; I'd like the same one from the review.

> **The quick answer:** Send a screenshot of the review photo and the workshop looks up that buyer's order and gives you the fabric and piping codes. A striped cushion in one review, for example, was N03 with matching N03 piping. When several beige linens are too close to call from a photo, the workshop sends close-ups of the candidates instead of guessing.

## Key facts

- A screenshot of the review photo is enough to start the search.
- The workshop checks its records or looks up that buyer's order.
- A striped cushion in a review was N03 with matching N03 piping.
- A floor cushion in a review was beige, color number 32 on the chart.
- One listing photo was P-59 fabric with P-58 piping.
- When beige linens are too close to call, the workshop sends close-ups instead of guessing.
- Fabric swatches are about 4 x 4 to 6 x 6 in (10 x 10 to 15 x 15 cm) and arrive without code labels, so keep a note of the codes you asked for.
- The outdoor range alone has about 150-200 colors across several charts, which is why a code beats a description.
- The teddy floor sofa corduroy comes in about 9-10 colors.

## What to send so the code can be found

- ✓ A screenshot of the review itself, not a crop of the cushion alone.
- ✓ Which photo you mean, if the review or listing has several.
- ✓ The cushion you want made: a [bench cushion](https://cushionguide.com/cushions/bench-cushions/), a floor cushion or a pillow.
- ✓ Whether the piping should match the fabric, as it did on the N03 stripe.
- ✓ Your own measurements, because the fabric code travels but the size does not.

## Why the fabric code beats my eye

Review photos are taken in someone else's light. A cream reads oatmeal by a north window and butter-yellow under a warm lamp. *Daylight never lies; your screen sometimes does.* So, my friends, the workshop doesn't read the color off the picture. It finds the order behind it.

That is how a striped review cushion turned out to be N03 with matching N03 piping, a stripe anyone can now order by its code. If a stripe is your choice, the [stripe direction Pattern](https://cushionguide.com/guides/striped-cushion-stripe-direction/) is worth a look first. A floor cushion in another buyer's review was beige, number 32 on the chart.

Which review photo stopped your scroll?

## Four photos, four answers from the records

| What the buyer sent | What the records said |
|---|---|
| A striped cushion in a customer review | N03 fabric with matching N03 piping |
| A floor cushion in a customer review | Beige, color number 32 on the chart |
| A cushion in a listing photo | P-59 fabric with P-58 piping |
| A beige linen that could be one of several | No guess: close-ups of each candidate |

## When two beiges are twins

Beige linen is where photographs fail most. Three neighbors on the chart can look like one color under a camera. Rather than guess, the workshop photographs each candidate up close and sends them, so you choose with the weave in view. A swatch, about 4 to 6 in square, settles the last doubt in your own light. Read [screen versus daylight color](https://cushionguide.com/guides/cushion-color-screen-vs-daylight/) before you compare, and keep the [fabric code](https://cushionguide.com/glossary/#fabric-code) you land on for any reorder.

> **Tailor's margin:** Send the review screenshot, not a description: the workshop looks up that order and reads back the fabric and piping codes.

## Buyer questions

**A common question:** What fabric and piping codes are on the cushion in your listing photo, or the one in that review?

**The workshop's answer:** Send a screenshot and the shop checks its records. One listing photo was P-59 with P-58 piping, and a striped cushion in a review was N03 with matching N03 piping. When several beige linens are too close to call, the shop sends close-ups of the candidates instead of guessing a code.

**A common question:** Can you tell me which fabric another buyer chose for the cushion in their review?

**The workshop's answer:** Yes. The shop can look up the fabric code used in a specific review, N03 in one case, so you can order the same look.

**A common question:** What color is the floor cushion in this customer's review photo?

**The workshop's answer:** The shop looked up that buyer's order: it was beige, color number 32 on the chart.

**A common question:** The listing photo and the color chart don't look the same. Which should I trust?

**The workshop's answer:** Usually both are right. Warm light makes fabric look creamier and daylight makes it grayer. On bench ranges the chart is the better guide, and the workshop confirms with photos before production so you can still switch.

## Questions buyers ask next

### My old color number has vanished from the dropdown. Can it still be ordered?

Ask the workshop. Codes are sometimes renumbered, as when a floor-cushion rust moved from 14 to 17. Missing colors can be re-added for reorders, and a truly discontinued fabric gets a nearest-match suggestion, often in velvet or linen.

### Is the white on the floor sofa a true bright white?

No, it is an off-white. The sofa's water green is also fairly dark, and there is no emerald. For a deeper green, soft fabric 923 has been suggested. Ask for extra photos or review photos before you choose.

### Can every piece of a modular sofa be sewn in its own color?

Yes. Pick the mix-color option, then write in the order note which color goes on which piece. Any listed colors combine, the ottoman and loveseat included, though the corduroy comes in no black.
