# Can I pay for express or faster shipping?

*A birthday on Saturday, a couch with nowhere to sit, a holiday table. Speed can be bought, within limits the calendar sets.*

## How a rush request plays out

1. **Buyer: “I need it fast.”**: Give the date and what it's for. A gift, a guest, an empty living room.
2. **Workshop: “Add the express listing.”**: The upgrade is its own item, bought alongside the cushion, as it was for a zippered velvet cover about 14 x 17 x 3 1/2 in (36 x 44 x 9 cm).
3. **Or: “Here's a payment link.”**: If the order is already placed, the workshop sends a shipping-fee link for express instead.

## What express buys, and what it can't

Express buys you a faster road. It doesn't shrink the cutting table, and it can't clear the late-December backlog, when parcels pile up like snow on a porch rail. Plan around that and express does its job.

### Will express get a gift there by the end of December?
