# Do you give a discount when I order two or more cushions?

*Usually, yes. The listing prices one cushion at a time; a set gets looked at as a set. Here's how that conversation tends to run.*

Also asked as: Any reduction for ordering multiple?; Any discount if I buy the set?

> **The quick answer:** Usually, yes: multi-piece orders have been quoted as one set, below the sum of the listing prices, trapezoid pieces included. The saving grew with the number of pieces: small on two large cushions, larger on sets of four to ten. Returning customers have been offered lower prices on follow-up orders. The agreed total arrives as a custom purchase link.

## Key facts

- Single cushions are priced by size on the listing.
- Multi-piece sets have been quoted as one set, below the sum of the listing prices.
- Savings grew with the number of pieces, from small on two large cushions to larger on sets of 4 to 10.
- Trapezoid pieces are included in set quotes.
- Returning customers were offered a discount on follow-up orders.
- The agreed total is paid through a custom purchase link.
- If checkout shows a different currency total, the shop corrects the price.

## “Is there a discount if I buy the set?”

Usually. One cushion is priced by size right on the listing, and you see the number when you pick your size. Two or more get a custom quote, and in past set quotes that total came in under the sum of the single prices.

A seam is a promise, and so is a set price. Pairs save the least; four to ten pieces is where the quote moves. How many pieces are on your list, my friend?

## How past set quotes compared

| Order | Against the single listing prices |
|---|---|
| Two large cushions | A little under two singles |
| Four to ten cushions | Where set quotes moved the most |
| Returning customer, follow-up order | Lower prices offered on back cushions and a second cover set |
| Shaped trapezoid pieces in the set | Counted the same way as straight ones |

## “Two long corduroy benches, please”

A buyer in the US asked for two [corduroy](https://cushionguide.com/fabrics/corduroy/) bench cushions, each 98 x 17.5 x 3 in (249 x 44.5 x 7.6 cm). Priced as a pair, each came in a few percent under its single listing price. Another past set, four linen cushions at 43 3/4 x 19 3/4 in (111 x 50 cm), was quoted well under four singles.

## “How do I pay the set price?”

1. **Send every piece at once**: Sizes, fabric and piping for the whole set, straight and shaped. The [quote checklist](https://cushionguide.com/guides/custom-cushion-quote-what-to-send/) lists the rest, and more long seats live under [bench cushions](https://cushionguide.com/cushions/bench-cushions/).
2. **Get the custom purchase link**: The shop sends one link at the agreed total.
3. **Check the total at checkout**: If it shows a different currency total, say so, and the shop updates the price to match the agreed amount.

> **Tailor's margin:** Order custom cushions as a set, not one at a time: sets of four to ten have been quoted well under the sum of single listing prices.

> A pair of large custom cushions saves a little; a set of four to ten has saved the most on a single quote.

## Buyer questions

**A common question:** Are your prices fixed, or do you quote sets?

**The workshop's answer:** Single cushions are priced by size range on the listing. For multi-piece sets the shop sends a custom quote, often below the individual total, with a custom purchase link; shaped cushions on the trapezoid listing are priced the same way.

**A common question:** Is there a better price for a set of large cushions, or for a returning customer?

**The workshop's answer:** Often, yes. A large L-shaped pair was offered a little under its two listing prices, and returning customers got lower prices on back cushions and a second cover set.

**A common question:** Do several cushions together cost less?

**The workshop's answer:** Multi-piece orders have usually come in at a lower total than the same pieces priced singly; a set of four linen cushions with burgundy piping and a banquette set both did. If checkout shows a different currency total, the shop updates the price to the agreed amount.

**A common question:** Will the sale price still be there if I order in a week or two?

**The workshop's answer:** It depends on the sale's end date, which the listing shows. If a sale has ended before you order, message the shop anyway: expired sale prices have been reactivated for some buyers.

## Questions buyers ask next

### Is there a minimum number of cushions for a set price?

Not a firm one. One reply mentioned three cushions or more, yet a pair of large pieces has still come in slightly under two singles. Sets of four to ten have saved the most.

### Do I need a discount code for a set price?

No. Set savings come as a custom quote and a purchase link at the agreed total, not as a code, and there are no newsletter sign-up codes either. Ask for the set quote in your first message.

### Can I add cushions after my first order?

Yes. Returning customers have been offered lower prices on follow-up orders, such as back cushions or a second cover set. Quoting everything together at the start has still saved more on sets of four to ten.
