# How do the A, B and C modules on the boucle floor couch work?

*Three letters, three sizes. Once you know which one sits at the corners, the rest is arithmetic.*

Also asked as: Is this A+C+A?; Can I order just the A plus B section?

> **The quick answer:** The boucle floor couch is built from three modules sold separately: A is 35.5 x 35.5 in (90 x 90 cm) and sits at every corner, B is 47 x 35.5 in (120 x 90 cm), and C is 23.5 x 35.5 in (60 x 90 cm). The main photo shows A+A+B+C. Module sizes are fixed, but you can add extra seats.

## Key facts

- Module A is 35.5 x 35.5 in (90 x 90 cm) and is used at every corner.
- Module B is 47 x 35.5 in (120 x 90 cm); module C is 23.5 x 35.5 in (60 x 90 cm).
- The main photo shows A+A+B+C; common layouts are A+C+A and A+B+A.

- Colors not listed, such as brown, can be requested in the order notes.

## The three modules, measured

| Module | Size | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| A | 35.5 x 35.5 in (90 x 90 cm) | Every corner |
| B | 47 x 35.5 in (120 x 90 cm) | The longer run between corners |
| C | 23.5 x 35.5 in (60 x 90 cm) | The shorter run between corners |

## Layouts buyers actually asked about

| Layout | Pieces | Note |
|---|---|---|
| A+C+A | 3 | Two corners with the short module between |
| A+B+A | 3 | Two corners with the long module between |
| A+A+B+C | 4 | The set in the main photo |
| A+B+A plus two C | 5 | One buyer's plan; extra seat modules can be added |

## What is fixed, and what is not

The modules on this model keep their sizes. No deeper seat, no taller seat. If you want more sitting, you add a module rather than stretch one.

Color is more open. A shade that isn't listed, brown for instance, can be requested in the order notes. The [boucle and teddy fabrics](https://cushionguide.com/fabrics/boucle-and-teddy/) page covers the cloth itself.

Before you choose, tape the footprint on the floor. The [modular floor sofa layouts Pattern](https://cushionguide.com/guides/modular-floor-sofa-layouts/) and the [modular floor sofa hub](https://cushionguide.com/cushions/modular-floor-sofas/) help you test a plan. How much floor do you want left over?

Leave a hand's width of floor.
Let the corners be A.
Let the room decide the rest.

## Ordering the couch piece by piece

1. **Measure the wall and the floor**: Note the length you have and how far into the room you can go. Every module shares the 35.5 in (90 cm) side.
2. **Pick a layout**: Two corners need two A modules. Fill between them with B, C, or both.
3. **Add each module to the cart**: A, B and C are added separately, so the cart should read like your layout.
4. **Write the color in the notes**: If your color isn't on the menu, ask for it in the order notes.

> **Tailor's margin:** On the boucle floor couch, module A (35.5 x 35.5 in) sits at every corner; B and C only set how long the run between them is.

> Boucle floor couch modules keep fixed sizes, 35.5 in (90 cm) on one side, so more seating means one more module, not a deeper one.

## Buyer questions

**A common question:** What layouts does the teddy boucle floor couch come in, and can you change the dimensions?

**The workshop's answer:** It's built from modules labeled A, B and C, in layouts such as A+C+A, A+B+A, or 2A+B+C as in the main photo. Module dimensions on this model can't be changed, but extra seats can be added.

**A common question:** Can I order only some sections of the couch, and which combination is in the main photo?

**The workshop's answer:** Yes. Each section, A, B or C, is added to the cart separately. The first photo shows A+A+B+C.

**A common question:** Can I buy just the seat cushion, or add extra back and arm pillows?

**The workshop's answer:** Yes. The seat cushion can be ordered alone for less than the full set, and extra backrests, bolsters or small support pillows can be added through a custom order.

**A common question:** Can I replace one damaged piece of my modular floor sofa?

**The workshop's answer:** Yes. Straight and L-shaped backrests, seat cushions and covers-only sets are sold individually, so a damaged corner or a gap can be filled on its own.

## Questions buyers ask next

### Can the floor couch be ordered in a color that isn't listed?

Yes. Unlisted colors, brown for example, can be requested in the order notes. If the exact shade matters, order a fabric sample first and look at it in your own daylight.

### Can the floor sofa cushions be made without piping?

Yes. Plain-sewn ends without piping are available; write 'no piping' on the order. The pillows are square-edged only, not rounded, and they are filled firmly.

### Can a modular floor sofa double as a bed?

Yes. Remove the loose backrests and lay the seat cushions flat side by side; it doesn't fold like a sofa bed. Pieces arrange as about 118 x 39.5 in (300 x 100 cm) or 79 x 79 in (200 x 200 cm).
